A sixty-two year old wife, mother, and grandmother, Wells’ life had been filled with tragedy, childhood and domestic abuse, and molestation. She had once asked the same question: “W. H. J. D. 4. U?" (What has Jesus done for you?).
Despite the hardships the author had suffered, her love for God and music gave her comfort. The Lord was able to bring the author out of her deepest depressions by enlisting the help of Elvis Presley and many others in her life.
